Restore Missing App Store Icon On iPhone or iPad
Even if you are pretty sure that you have deleted the App Store Icon from your iPhone, the good news is that you did not delete it and you just cannot delete the App store icon on your iPhone.
Although, you certainly can delete apps on your iPhone or iPad, you cannot delete certain native or permanent applications like Notes, Messages, Settings, Safari, Camera, Photos, Wallet, Find My iPhone and the App Store.
Hence, the most likely possibility is that the App Store app is misplaced somewhere on your iPhone or your device is restricting you from accessing the App Store.
With this reassurance, let us go ahead and try to recover the Missing App Store Icon on your iPhone or iPad.
Look For App Store On Your iPhone
We are pretty sure that you must be really annoyed to see this heading!
However, it is really important that you check for the Missing App Store icon just about everywhere on your iPhone.
Check every Home Screen and check thoroughly in all Application Folders that you remember creating and in Folders that you can see on your iPhone.
In case this is not going well, you can ask your iPhone to check for the Missing App Store icon.
1. Swipe down on the screen of your iPhone
2. Next, type App Store in the search field.
Your iPhone should be able to bring up the App Store in the search results.
Reset Home Screen
It is quite possible that the App Store icon is hiding on a different home screen or in some mystery Folder. Hence, you can try resetting the home screen to make the App icons come back to their default places.
1. Tap on Settings > General.
2. On the next screen, scroll down all the way to bottom and tap on Reset (See image below)
3. On the Reset Screen, tap on Reset Home Screen Layout option.
This will make the Home Screen Layout on your iPhone come back to its default settings, which should make it easy for you to locate the App store icon in its usual or default location.
Disable Check Restrictions
In case you cannot find the App store icon after looking everywhere on your iPhone, it is likely that your iPhone is preventing you from accessing App store.
This can happen, in case you had accidentally or intentionally enabled restrictions on your iPhone, in order to prevent your kids from making purchases on the App store or to prevent in-app purchases during game play.
If this appears to be the case, you can follow the steps below to disable restrictions on your iPhone.
1. Tap on Settings > General.
2. On the next screen, tap on Restrictions.
3. On the next screen, enter your Restrictions Passcode.
Note: Your Restrictions Passcode maybe different from the Lock Screen Passcode.
4. On the next screen, you will see a list of Apps. Locate the App Store Icon and turn it ON.
This method is not going to help you, in case you have forgotten your Restrictions Passcode. In such a case, you can try to Reset Restrictions Passcode using methods described in this article: How to Reset Restrictions Passcode on iPhone.
