Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge owners looking to root their devices are better off not going ahead, considering that Samsung’s much awaited feature ‘Samsung Pay’ will not be working on rooted devices.
Many users have been rooting their devices in order to customize their phone and disable certain apps which cannot be turned off normally. However, when the device is rooted its integrity gets breeched which in turn disables sensitive features like Samsung Pay and KNOX.
Samsung Pay is expected to be released this year and it will allow you to pay for your shopping using Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge phones.
Samsung Pay has come in for a lot of praise from reviewers and rated better than its competitors – Apple Pay and Android Pay due to its compatibility with NFC as well as MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission).
MST technology is widely used in payment processing terminals that we normally come across while shopping – The payment terminal where we have been swiping our credit and debit cards for years.
Samsung Pay has the potential to become the most widely used mobile payment system due its ease of integration with regular payment processing terminals and Samsung’s tie up with major credit card companies and banks like VISA, MasterCard, Bank of America, American Express, JPMorgan Chase, U.S. Bank and Citi.
Samsung Pay is expected to debut sometime later this year in USA and Korea on Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge phones followed by other countries and devices.
