How to Turn OFF Do Not Disturb While Driving on iPhone

Sometimes, iPhone can automatically switch to Do Not Disturb While Driving Mode, blocking all Calls and Notifications on your device. You will find below the steps to quickly Turn OFF Do Not Disturb While Driving Mode on iPhone.

Do Not Disturb While Driving Mode is a good safety feature on iPhone, designed to automatically stop notifications and divert all incoming calls on your device to voicemail, while you are driving.

As mentioned above, iPhone can also go into Do Not Disturb While Driving Mode, while you are on a bus/train or sitting in the passenger seat of a car.

In such cases, you won’t be able to receive calls and notifications on your device, without turning OFF Do Not Disturb While Driving Mode.

1. Switch OFF Do Not Disturb Mode on iPhone

If you are expecting an important call or message, you can quickly disable Do Not Disturb Mode on iPhone by following the steps below.

1. Open Settings > tap on Do Not Disturb.

2. On the next screen, move the toggle next to Do Not Disturb to OFF position.

Note: This will turn OFF both regular Do Not Disturb Mode and also Do Not Disturb While Driving Mode on your iPhone.

2. Switch to Manual Do Not Disturb Mode

The next option is to prevent iPhone from automatically switching into Do Not Disturb Mode.

1. Go to Settings > Do Not Disturb > scroll down and tap on Activate.

2. On the next screen, tap on Manually.

After this, your iPhone won’t be able to automatically switch to Do Not Disturb Mode, while you are taking a bus or travelling as passenger in a car.

While driving, you can manually enable Do Not Disturb Mode on your device by tapping on the Car Icon in the Control Center.

For this, you will have to first add the Do Not Disturb While Driving Car Icon to the Control Center by going to Settings > Control Center and tapping on + sign next to Do Not Disturb While Driving entry.

This will Add “Do Not Disturb While Driving” option to Control Center, making it easy to Enable or Disable “Do Not Disturb While Driving Mode” at any time on your device.

Turn OFF Do Not Disturb While Driving from Control Center

Once, Do Not Disturb While Driving Icon is added to Control Center, it becomes really easy to Enable or Disable Do Not Disturb While Driving Mode on iPhone.

1. Swipe up from bottom on the screen of your iPhone.

2. On the Control Center screen, tap on the lighted Car Icon.
