How to Execute Run Command As Admin in Windows 10/11

By: Sam Patwegar | August 24, 2024

While you can open and use the Run Command on your computer from any User Account, you won’t be able to execute Commands that require Admin Privileges.

However, this does not mean that you need to Logout from your Local User Account and Login to your Admin Account, in order to Run Commands requiring Admin Privileges.

You can just go ahead and try to Run the Command and this should make your computer to prompt you to enter your Admin Password in order to Run the Command.

The other option is to Execute the Run Command on your computer As Admin, using steps as provided below in this guide.
