iPhone Not Sending Texts to Android
The Messages App on iPhone sends Messages to Apple device users using its own iCloud Servers and makes use of your mobile service providers network to send messages to Android phone users.
Hence, the problem of iPhone not sending Texts to Android Phone users is mostly related to a problem with your service providers network or Cellular network connectivity issues on your device.
Apart from this, the problem of iPhone not sending Messages to Android Phone users can be caused due to MMS Messaging not being enabled, Incorrect or corrupted Network Settings and other reasons.
1. Enable MMS & Group Messaging
MMS Messaging system needs to be enabled on your device, in order to send SMS Text Messages to Android device users.
Go to Settings > Messages > On the next screen, make sure both MMS Messaging and Group Messaging are enabled.
After this your iPhone will be able to send Messages using the carrier supported SMS/MMS messaging system.
2. Check Blocked Numbers
The problem may simply be due your Android device user Contact being accidentally blocked on your iPhone.
Go to Settings > Messages > Blocked Contacts > On the next screen, see if the Senders Phone Number is listed.
If it is listed, swipe left on the Phone Number and tap on the Unblock option.
3. Check Send/Receive Settings
While iPhone can send iMessages to Apple device users using your Apple ID, it makes use of your Phone Number to send SMS Text Messages to Android Device users.
Go to Settings > Messages > scroll down and tap on Send & Receive. On the next screen, make sure your Phone Number is listed under “You Can Be Reached By” section.
4. Install Updates
The problem could be due to an iOS or Carrier update waiting to be installed on your device.
Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
On the next screen, tap on Download & Install (if Updates are available).
5. Refresh Cellular Network
A quick way to reset wireless antennas on iPhone is to Enable and Disable Airplane Mode .
Open Settings and move the slider next to Airplane Mode to ON position.
After 15 seconds, disable Airplane Mode by moving the toggle to OFF position.
Now, try to use the Safari browser on your iPhone and see if you are able to browse normally.
6. Reset Network Settings
Make sure that you note down your WiFi Network Password and follow the steps below to Reset Network Settings on your device to Factory Default Settings.
Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > On the pop-up, select Reset Network Settings option.
On the confirmation pop-up, tap on Reset Network Settings to confirm.
After Network Settings Reset, you will have to connect back to your WiFi Network by entering your WiFi Network Password.
7. Disable RCS on Android Phone
You can request your Contact to disable RCS on his/her Android device and see if this helps in fixing the problem.
Open Messages App > tap on your Profile Icon and select Settings in the drop-down menu.
From the Settings screen, go to General > Chat Features and move the toggle next to Chat Features to OFF position.
