How to Connect AirPods to MacBook

The process of connecting AirPods to MacBook is also known as pairing and it basically requires you to place your AirPods in the charging case and bring the charging case with AirPods it near to your MacBook.

Once the AirPods are recognized by Mac, they get listed on the Bluetooth screen, allowing the users to connect them Mac by clicking on the Connect button.

Pair or Connect AirPods with MacBook

In order to use AirPods with MacBook, you need to go through the process of Pairing or Connecting AirPods to MacBook by using the following steps.

1. Click on Apple Logo in top menu-bar and select System Preferences in the drop-down menu.

2. On the System Preferences screen, click on the Bluetooth Icon.

3. On the Bluetooth screen, click on the Turn On Bluetooth button.

4. Next, place AirPods in the Charging case and press and hold the Pairing button located at back of the AirPods case.

5. Once AirPods are discovered by Mac, you will find them appearing on Bluetooth screen, under “Devices” section. Select your AirPods and click on the Connect button.

After this, you will be able to start using AirPods on your Mac.

Disconnect or Remove AirPods from Mac

At any time, you can Unpair or Remove AirPods from Mac by following the steps below.

1. Click on Apple Logo in the top menu-bar > select System Preferences in the drop-down menu.

2. On the System Preferences screen, click on the Bluetooth Icon.

3. On the Bluetooth screen, right-clicking on AirPods and select the Disconnect or Remove option.

4. If you selected the Remove option, you will see a confirmation pop-up. Click on the Remove option to confirm.

How to Rename AirPods

You can Rename or change the Name of your AirPods by going

1. Click on Apple Logo in top menu-bar > select System Preferences in the drop-down menu.

2. On the System Preferences screen, click on the Bluetooth Icon.

3. On the Bluetooth screen, right-clicking on AirPods and selecting the Rename option.

Renaming AirPods can be helpful, if you have multiple Bluetooth devices connecting to your MacBook.
