If most of your files, photos, videos and documents are stored on the computer, you might be pleased to know that it is really easy to attach files from computer to WhatsApp messages.
This can be done by using the Web version of WhatsApp; which allows you to access your WhatsApp account on a Windows computer or MacBook and directly attach files located on the computer to WhatsApp messages.
Attach Files from Computer to WhatsApp Message
As mentioned above, the first step is to access your WhatsApp account on computer by using the Web version of WhatsApp.
Once your WhatsApp Account becomes available on the computer, attaching files from computer to WhatsApp messages becomes more or less the same as attaching files from computer to Email Messages.
1. Access WhatsApp Account on Computer
If you already have a WhatsApp Account on iPhone or Android phone, you can follow the steps below to access your WhatsApp account on a Windows computer or Mac.
1. Open the Web Browser on your computer and go to web.whatsapp.com
2. On WhatsApp’s website, you will see a QR Code along with instructions to Scan the Code using your smartphone.

3. Open WhatsApp on your mobile device > tap on your Profile Icon and select Linked Devices option in the menu that appears.

4. Next, tap on Link a Device button and follow the instructions to scan the QR Code by using the Rear Camera of your mobile device.

5. Once the QR Code is scanned, you will find your WhatsApp Account appearing on the screen of your computer.
2. Attach Files from Computer to WhatsApp Messages
Now that you are able to access and use your WhatsApp Account on computer, you can follow the steps below to attach files from computer to WhatsApp Messages.
1. Open a New Message or an existing Message thread of the person that you want to send the Files to.
2. Type your Message > tap on Plus icon located near the message box and select the type of File (document, photo, video) that you want to attach to your message.

3. On the next screen, select the File that you want to send and double-click on it.

4. Once the File is attached to WhatsApp message, click on the Send button to send the File to your WhatsApp Contact.

Note: You can attach more files to your WhatsApp Message by clicking on the +ADD FILE Icon.
