For security reasons, iPhone allows you to protect missed calls appearing on the Lock Screen of your iPhone from being answered by anyone else (other than you). Let us take a look at the steps to Protect Missed Calls on iPhone Lock Screen.

Lock Screen Notifications on iPhone are basically designed to keep you informed about incoming messages and calls being made by your contacts to your iPhone.

For the sake of convenience, iPhone allows you to reply to notifications or return missed calls right from the Lock Screen of your device.

However, with this convenience comes the possibility of anyone else being able to answer your missed calls, in case you have the habit of leaving your iPhone unattended.

Hence, we are providing below the steps to Protect Missed Calls on iPhone Lock Screen. Doing this will protect all missed calls on your iPhone, including Cellular, FaceTime and also Calls from WhatsApp, TextNow, imo and others.

Steps to Protect Missed Calls on iPhone Lock Screen

Follow the steps below to protect Missed Calls on iPhone Lock Screen

1. From the Home screen of your iPhone, tap on Settings.

2. On the Setting screen, tap on Touch ID & Passcode (Face ID & Passcode in case of iPhone X).

3. On the next screen, you will be prompted to enter your Lock Screen Passcode in order to access the Touch ID & Passcode Screen.

4. On the Touch ID & Passcode screen, disable the option to Return Missed Calls from the Lock Screen of iPhone by moving the toggle next to Return Missed Calls to OFF position (See image below).

After this setting, all the missed calls appearing on the Lock Screen of your iPhone will be protected. Anyone else, trying to answer a missed call from the Lock screen of your iPhone will be prompted to verify by entering your Passcode, using Touch ID or FaceID.

Best of all, the feature protects all missed calls, not just cellular ones.

Specifically, your FaceTime calls are protected, as are any missed calls from VoIP apps that use Apple’s CallKit API for Lock screen integration, such as WhatsApp, Viber and so on.

Similarly, you may also want to disable Reply From Lock Screen feature on your iPhone, in order to prevent the possibility of anyone else being able to reply to incoming messages from the Lock Screen of your iPhone.
