How to Recover Deleted Apps on Android Phone

If you have accidentally or intentionally deleted apps from your Android phone or tablet, you can recover them by going to Google Play Store Account on your mobile device.

Going by the mind boggling variety of apps that are available on the Android the eco-system, the most common reason for apps being deleted and reinstalled on Android devices should be due to intentional manual deletion by users, as they get tempted to try different apps.

In addition to this, apps can get accidentally deleted by an unintended swipe and also while making efforts to clear up the storage space.

1. Recover Deleted Apps on Android Phone

Once any free or paid App is downloaded from Google Play Store, it remains linked or associated with your Google Account, even if it is deleted or removed from your Android phone or tablet.

This makes it easy to locate the deleted App on Google Play Store and reinstall or restore the deleted app back on your Android phone or tablet.

1. Open Google Play Store on your Android phone or Tablet.

2. Once you are on Google Play Store, tap on your Profile Icon and select Manage Apps & Device tab.

3. On the next screen, switch to Manage tab > tap on Installed Down Arrow and select Not Installed option in the pop-up that appears.

4. On “Not Installed” screen, select the App or Apps that you want to restore on your phone by checking the boxes next to them.

5. Once the Apps are selected, tap on the Download Icon to download the deleted Apps on your Android phone.

Note: On the Installed screen, you can sort the apps by order of download.

2. Restore Apps to Home Screen

After the Apps have been restored on your Android phone, you may want to bring them back to the Home Screen of your Android phone.

1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the App Drawer.

2. Locate the App that you want to restore to the Home screen.

3. Tap and Hold the App Icon and drag it to your desired location on the Home sceen.
