How to Stop Others From Controlling Your Chromecast Device

By: Sam Patwegar | April 3, 2024

As you must have noticed, Google’s Home App provides a Cast Notification to all the devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network in your house that are connected to the same Wi-Fi Network.

This means that every time you Cast a Video or Movie, everyone in your house will get a Cast Notification on their Android Phone or Tablet.

This practically allows, everyone in your house to Pause, Mute, and Stop your Cast by using the Cast Notification appearing on other devices connected to your Wi-Fi Network.

Also, getting Notifications from Chromecast, whether or not you really want them can be quite distracting and annoying in certain situations.
