Getting Weather Notification on iPhone can help you prepare and dress according to the expected Weather conditions in your place. You will find below the steps to Get Weather Alerts on iPhone and iPad.
Get Weather Alerts On iPhone
If you are not getting Weather Alerts on iPhone, it is likely that the Weather App installed on your device does not have the permission to track your Location.
Another reason for Weather Notifications not appearing in the Notification Center on iPhone is due to the Weather Widget being disabled on your device.
With this understanding let us go ahead and take the steps to Enable Weather Alerts on your iPhone.
Step 1: Allow Weather App to Track Your Location
The Weather App needs to know your location, in order to provide you with Accurate Local Weather Information in your area.
Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > move the toggle next to Location Services to ON position.
On the same screen, scroll down and select the Weather App.
On the next screen, select Always option.
Note: If the Weather App is not showing on Location Services screen, open the Weather App and select Allow the App to track your Location option in the pop-up that appears.
Step 2: Allow Notification in Weather App
Open the Weather App on iPhone and tap on 3-line Icon, located in bottom menu.
If you see “Allow Notification” prompt, select the Allow option or tap on Continue to provide Weather App with the required permission to provide Notifications on your device.
After this, you should be able to see Weather Alerts by swiping from left-to-right on the screen of your iPhone to access the Notification Center.
Add Weather Widget to Notification Center
If the Weather Widget is still not showing up in the Notification Center, it is likely that the Weather Widget has been removed from Notification Center.
Swipe from left-to-right on the screen of your iPhone > on the next screen (Widgets screen), scroll down to bottom and tap on the Edit option.
On the Edit screen, tap on + icon located at the top-right corner of your screen.
On the next screen, scroll down and select the Weather widget.
On the Weather screen, tap on Add Widget button to Add the Weather Widget to the Notification section on your device.
If Weather information is not yet showing up on your device, go to Settings > General > tap on Shut Down to Power OFF your device.
After iPhone is completely powered OFF, wait for 30 seconds and Restart your device by pressing the Power button.
