How to Save Parking Location in Google Maps on iPhone

It is really easy to save the location of your parked car in Google Maps on iPhone and use the saved location to navigate back to your Parked Car.

Once any place is set as the Parking Location in Google Maps, it remains marked as your Parking Location for a period of 12 hours, after which the Parking Marker is automatically removed by Google Maps.

Google Maps also allows you to share your parking location and download a Map of the area where your Car is parked for offline use.

All that is required to save your Parking Location to Google Maps on iPhone is to tap on your current Parked Car location in Google Maps and select “Set as Parking Location” option in the slide-up menu.

1. How to Save Parking Location to Google Maps on iPhone?

As soon as you arrive at the parking location or get down from the car, you should remember to save your Parking Location to Google Maps.

1. Open the Google Maps App on your iPhone.

2. Once your Parking Location appears in Google Maps, you will see a Blue Dot indicating the current location of your car. Tap on the Blue-Dot and select Set as Parking Location option.

Google Maps will save this location on iPhone and mark it as your Parking Location for the next 12 hours.

2. How to Find Parked Car Using Google Maps on iPhone?

Once a Parking Location is saved to iPhone, you can trust Google Maps to provide you with easy to follow directions to your Parked Car Location.

1. Open Google Maps on your iPhone.

2. Tap on your Parked Car Location and select the Start option in the bottom-menu.

3. Start walking and follow the directions provided by Google Maps towards the location of your Parked Car.

3. Download Parking Location for Offline Use

If you prefer using Google Maps offline, the Map of the Parking Area needs to already available on your device. This allows you to navigate back to your Parked Car, even if you run out of data or want to use Google Maps offline.

1. Open Google Maps on your iPhone.

2. Once your Location appears on the Map, tap on your parking location (Blue-Dot) and select select Download offline map option in the slide-up menu.

3. On the next screen, select the Download option to download Map of the area where your car is parked for offline use.

4. Share Parking Location Using Google Maps

Google Maps also provides the option to share your parking location with anyone, using Messaging, WhatsApp, Facebook and other apps.

1. Open Google Maps > tap on the Parked Car Location and select the Share option.

2. On the Sharing menu, select the Contact that you want to send your Parking Location to and tap on More Options.

3. On the next screen, you can select iMessage, WhatsApp and any other available App to share your Parking Location.

5. How to Remove Parking Location from Google Maps on iPhone?

As mentioned above, the parking location information remains in Google Maps for 12 hours. However, you can also clear or remove the location of your Parked Car at any time.

Open Google Maps > tap on your Parking Location and select the Clear option in the slide-up menu.

Next time you go to a new and unfamiliar place, make sure that you remember to use the Parked Car Location feature in Google Maps to save the Location of your Parked Car.
