WhatsApp Status Updates Not Showing on iPhone
The Status update feature in WhatsApp allows users to upload photos and videos that can be seen by your Contacts, until they automatically disappear after 24 hours.
If you are unable to see the Status Update of Everyone or the Status Update of a particular Contact, you should be able to fix the problem using troubleshooting steps as provided below.
1. Check Muted Status
If you are unable to see the Status Update of a particular Contact, the problem might simply be due to this particular Contact being accidentally Muted on your iPhone.
Open WhatsApp > select the Chat of the person that is preventing you from seeing Status Updates. On the next screen, tap on the Name of the person.
On Contacts info screen, tap on the Muted tab.
On the pop-up that appears, select the Unmute option.
2. Check if the Contact is Blocked
Another reason for Status Updates not showing in WhatsApp is due to the Contact being accidentally blocked on your iPhone.

If the Contact appears in the block list, tap on the Edit option (top-right corner), tap on the minus sign (–) Icon located next to the Contact that you want to unblock and select the Unblock option.
After the Contact’s phone number is removed from block List, you will be able to see the Status updates of this Contact, whenever WhatsApp refreshes its data.
