The Raise to Wake feature as available on iPhone 6s and later models of iPhones automatically switches on the display of iPhone whenever it is picked up.

This provides you with immediate access to notifications and message alerts on the Lock Screen of your iPhone, without having to press the Home or Power Button.

As you can imagine, the Raise to Wake feature can be particularly useful while travelling, as it allows you to quickly take photos, turn on Airplane mode, use Flash Light, adjust volume and other settings without having to unlock the iPhone.

While this feature is liked by many users, there are people who find this feature annoying or want to disable this feature to protect their privacy. Hence, we providing below the steps to Stop iPhone From Waking When it is Picked up.

Steps to Stop iPhone From Waking When Picked Up

In order to stop iPhone from waking when picked up, you will need to disable “Raise to Wake” feature as available in Display & Brightness Settings on your iPhone.

1. Open Settings on your iPhone.

2. On the Settings screen, tap on Display & Brightness option.

3. On the Display & Brightness screen, disable Raise to Wake feature on your iPhone by toggling OFF the option for Raise to Wake (See image below)

After this setting, your iPhone will no longer wake up whenever it is picked up by you or anyone else.
